Preschool Program

St. James Preschool is a ministry of St. James United Methodist Church. We are a Raleigh Christian, community-minded preschool that believes children excel in a ‘hands on’ learning approach. Our focus is on the process of learning, encouraging creativity, a sense of self-worth and independence while supporting the family. Our teachers and staff foster growth of the whole child (social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and physical) in a caring, nurturing environment of honesty and mutual respect.

St. James, a Community-Minded Preschool

St. James Christian Preschool in Raleigh has developed an unparalleled community-minded curriculum that affords its students opportunities to participate as part of a school-wide community while also serving the surrounding community. We believe in the importance of children being active participants in the world in which they live. Engaging projects and enriching lessons provide tangible opportunities every week for our preschoolers to help them understand the importance of their role in the world around them. Additionally, we invite local community leaders and helpers to our school so our children can meet them, learn about their jobs and ask questions. This is a unique learning opportunity and we are eager and excited to share it with your child and you. Our school is open Monday through Friday (9:00am – 12:30pm) and we offer a variety of classes, schedules and programs for toddlers up to Pre K. We also offer an Early Morning Drop Off program Monday-Friday for enrolled students.
